Areas south of highway 50 are in a Slight risk for severe storms late today and tonight, while areas south of highway 54 are in an enhanced risk area, primarily for the chance of damaging wind. The most likely scenario is a cluster of storms forming to our southwest and moving into the area tonight. There’s an outside chance a storm or two could get going in the early to mid afternoon, and if that happens and the storm rides a subtle boundary just south of the state line for some time, a tornado would be possible. That scenario is much less likely than a storm cluster. An outside chance of severe storms exists tomorrow, highly dependent on the way tonight progresses.
