SPC has upgraded and modified their risk outlook in the latest issuance. First, they have added a 10% tornado risk area and a risk area for significant (EF2+) tornadoes.
To compare the morning update to the overnight update, swipe on the image. Morning update image shows a 10% (brown) probability of any tornado south and west of K-96. A significant (10% probability of EF2+ tornado) overlays that west of a Great Bend to Pratt line and east of a Garden City to Liberal line. The earlier outlook had neither.
The hail graphic has also undergone quite a change, with the significant hail area (silver) expanding north to I-70 and a very sharp drop off in risk at US-281 (a line from Russell to Medicine Lodge). The 30% hail risk (red) area has expanded significantly north, as well.
