Plains Season Start Next Week?

An experimental forecast which has shown some skill in its ability to predict large-scale events a week or more in advance is indicating next week may be our first one for substantial severe weather this year.

Provocative post on Mike Smith’s blog this morning: http://www.mikesmithenterprisesblog.com/2020/03/time-to-get-ready-for-tornado-season.html

At this point I don’t have a feel for this particular experimental product. I wanted to pass it along as soon as I saw it, because I trust Mike. But I’m not going to start any public discussion of it for a few days, until I can start to see the patterns developing myself and I am getting corroboration from some of the other weather folks I trust.

I’m posting it for you as part of my commitment to make sure Insiders know first about any risks we see coming. I value your comments and thoughts.
