About KSStorm Info

This site is a collaboration of mobile storm spotters and meteorologists to provide accurate, hype-free weather information for residents of Kansas.

Our goals are to help you prepare weather-related risks and to react in ways that protect life and property.

In the field, our first priority is our own safety. Second is documenting and reporting weather conditions to the National Weather Service to give the warning forecaster as much information on the current state of the storm as we can. Third is getting our video stream on KWCH-TV so viewers have an extra confirmation of the hazards and can take effective action.

We are not storm "chasers," and especially not "extreme" storm chasers. Our role is documenting and reporting from wherever the storm may be.
