KSStorm.Info Briefing: Wednesday, Oct 6

Sunshine the theme, but some showers possible in eastern Kansas. Cooler east of US-183, about the same as yesterday in western Kansas.
sun and clouds

Sunshine to be the rule across most of Kansas today, with highs generally a few degrees cooler than yesterday. The exception is the western 1/3 of the state, as the overnight back door cold front stalled out pretty much along highway 183. More clouds in the east, with chances for showers near the Kansas/Missouri state line in northeast Kansas.. We’re still looking for a warming trend through the weekend, with record highs possible in much of the state Saturday.

Friday night football preview: A warm evening, temps in the 80’s at kickoff, falling to upper 70’s by end of the 4th quarter.

Severe storms possible Sunday and Tuesday, maybe Wednesday as well. Check out our current Outlook for details. Mobile users, don’t miss the regional forecast after the break!
