Skies will clear today and temperatures will rebound nicely, ending up right around normal for early March. A pleasant weekend is on the way, with temperatures warming each day — Sunday afternoon we’ll get above 70 in much of the state. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sun as the weekend unfolds. Strong southerly wind Sunday ahead of a modest cold front will increase the grassland fire risk on Sunday. A cold front passes early next week, but the only expected impact is a return to seasonal temperatures. Medium-range models have yet to come into agreement on the timing and potential impacts of a system due to arrive late in the week. But they are fairly consistent in seeing a return to chilly weather by the end of the week.
