The first day of Meteorological Spring is here, and March will arrive like a lamb if you only consider today. Sunny skies across the state, temps generally upper 50’s and 60’s. A strong low pressure system will track to our south tomorrow, bringing chances for widespread showers to much of the state, with an outside potential for it to change to snow overnight into Friday morning. Our best feel at this point is that it remains all rain or a rain-snow mix in most locations. We’ll be in a temperature range where 1-2 degrees could mean the difference between all rain and a wet snow of an inch or so. The exception right now looks to be northwest Kansas, where much of the Goodland NWS area is under a Winter Storm Watch tomorrow night.
