A very slow-moving upper low pressure system will continue to reside over southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma today, leaving our area in the wraparound moisture plume much of the day. So light to at times moderate rain is expected much of the day today, with the heavier rains in central Kansas late afternoon and evening. The low finally departs tomorrow, moving into the Ozarks and letting us dry out. Temperatures begin to rebound tomorrow as well, and we’ll be into the low 90’s by Sunday. Southerly flow at the surface and southwesterly flow aloft will increase humidity, but right now models keep us dry through the holiday.
