Another taste of summer today, before we get much cooler for the weekend. Today will be the warmest of the next seven days, with south wind helping to push the temperature up. A strong cold front is still expected through late tonight, and it will be well east of us before any change for rain or severe weather develops. A reminder that if you’re traveling this weekend, the front range and plain in Colorado are forecast to receive snowfall, in truly impressive mounts between 10 and 15 inches in places. But here the impact will be much cooler temperatures, especially Saturday. Widespread beneficial rainfall is forecast to start the upcoming week.
Severe weather is unlikely the next seven days.
