KSStorm.Info Briefing: May 5, 2022

One more day of showers, with some flooding concerns in southeast Kansas. Then drying and quiet weather is expected, with a first taste of summer early next week.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected today, as a potent upper trough moves over the region. A strong storm is not out of the question, but severe weather is not expected. We do have some flooding concerns especially south and east of I-35.

wwaA period of relatively quiet weather is expected the region starting tomorrow and persisting through mid-late next week. Experimental models show some risk for severe weather east of I-135 around mid-week. It will be summer-like this weekend, with temps near 90, and we should be warmer than normal for much of next week.
