KSStorm.Info Briefing: March 18, 2022

Under-performing system exits stage right, a beautiful spring weekend on the way!

March storms often over perform the forecasts, but the system that’s exiting today looks to have decidedly under performed the models. Rain and some snow will continue to pull away to the southeast today with skies clearing shortly afterward. By late day the entire state should be sunny with slightly below seasonal temperatures. Temps rebound tomorrow, and the first day of Spring Sunday is still expected to be in the 70;s. Unsettled weather to start the week, with widespread rainfall expected from late Monday through early Wednesday. This won’t be a drought-buster by any stretch of the imagination, but some reports of a couple inches rainfall Monday and Tuesday are expected. It comes at a good time for the Kansas wheat crop.
