This round of snow is done across Kansas, and we will see much cooler than normal temperatures today as the sun’s warmth is put to work melting the snow. It’ll be mid-day tomorrow before temps start their strong rise, but Sunday looks to be a pleasant day across the plains. Elevated fire risk may return south of highway 54 by Sunday. Dry and warm through mid-week, another shot of cold air possible late-week. We are monitoring for a possibility of meaningful rain mid-week, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty in the forecast models.
Here are the snowfall reports for the bigger part of the storm — the round yesterday morning. Expect totals for the event to increase an inch or two south of US 56 when official reports are posted later this morning.
