KSStorm.Info Briefing: February 28, 2022

As we shift into meteorological spring tomorrow, we’ll be enjoying temperatures that are more like May than March.

Today will be sunny and we’ll be in the mid-60 to low 70’s across the state. We pop into the 70’s tomorrow and will be in the upper 70’s to around 80 with a few new record highs possible Wednesday and Thursday. As you’d expect, grassland fire danger will increase through the week, but should stay out of the extreme category because we won’t have a lot of wind. Our only chances for rain look to come as we start the weekend, and models remain inconsistent on whether we’ll even see that.
