Happy Saturday to one and all! The weather the rest of the weekend looks very tranquil, with light winds and tons of sunshine. Lows tonight will fall into the upper teens to mid 20s, while highs on Sunday will get into the mid 50s to lower 60s. Winds will generally be 5-15 mph across the state.
As we approach the first day of Meteorological Spring on Tuesday, we’ll see temps that will feel like mid-April around the region. Temps Monday will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s across the state. We’ll begin a three or four-day stretch of temps in the 70s across the state. There will be some fire concerns, especially Thursday and Friday, as winds turn out of the south ahead of the next weather maker.
Speaking of the next chance of rain, that is ticketed for next weekend, as the pattern turns slightly more active. We’ll see cooler conditions as a cold front is forecast to move through the area Friday night. Models today continue to differ in the exact evolution of this trough, which is to be expected 6 to 7 days out. Overall, confidence is low on a specific solution right now, but we are becoming more confident that a pattern change will occur beginning next weekend.
