KSStorm.Info Briefing: February 22, 2022

Bitter cold lasts through the week, and most of the state will see dangerous wind chills tonight and early tomorrow between -15 and -20. Still looking like an inconvenience snow event on Thursday.

The Polar Express has arrived in Kansas, and is expected to remain through the end of the week. Dangerous wind chill values below zero will last through the morning and again tonight and tomorrow morning. Try to limit your time outdoors as much as possible, and dress in layers to preserve your body heat if you must go outside. We remain dry through the week except for Thursday, when we may see a an inch or two of snow across the region. Highs today will be about 50 degrees colder than yesterday, and it’ll be Friday before we get out of the 20’s.

*** WIND CHILL ADVISORY tonight through 11am Wednesday for all of Kansas west of I-35. ***
