KSStorm.Info Briefing: Feb 11, 2022

A mild but very dry day today, followed by a cooler weekend and a mild start to the week, leading to what looks like a couple of days of moisture to end next week.

We’ll see lots of sun today and wind will be up a bit, which will combine with drier upper level air making it to the surface and set the stage for a day of increased grassland fire risk. Another high fire risk day is expected Tuesday. Cooler air filters in for tomorrow and Sunday. South wind sets up warmer temps Monday through Wednesday. The system we’ve been talking about now looks to impact the region from late Wednesday through Friday, and depending on exact track could bring a chance for storms followed by the possibility of slushy wet snowfall.
