Winter System Continues to Speed Up, Variety of Conditions Expected

In the words of one NWS forecaster,

Challenging forecast with multiple hazards.

That may be an understatement.

Yet, this is really shaping up to be a typical, if fast-moving, winter storm system across Kansas. It’s pretty strong, which can be a bit unusual this time of year.

I have a separate update post about this storm system with more graphics. This briefing focuses on the complex set of watches and warnings (when seen in text, it makes better sense visually).

This information is current as of 5:05 am CST Friday. Check our Watches, Warnings and Advisories map image later on this page, along with our NWS Wire, for the latest information.
